Counter-Strike. A Game with a Strong Fan base

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is a great game with a strong presence in the E-Sports realm. This is shown with the generous prize money that CS:GO gave away in 2018 alone, $22.47 Million, and the 212 Million people who watch the event, only being beaten by League of Legends. As you can see, CS:GO is no joke and something a lot of people enjoy watching. The best part is you don't have to pay a dime to experience the game as since December 6, 2018, CS:GO is now free.

Getting into CS:GO, you might want to change up the controls a little bit. Seeing as CS:GO is such a fast pace game, I recommend prioritizing different weapons and materials over certain actions like inventory toggle or the inspect weapon bind as these are not really useful when in a match and can waste keyboard space you could use to speed up your reaction time with the other team. If you have a gaming mouse; however, these extra buttons give you an advantage with an easier access to controls you might not be able to reach on your keyboard.

After you have changed your controls to what seems suitable to you, I recommend checking out the tutorial and/or starting a match with other players in casual so you can brush up on your skills. Keep in mind that you can change your controls afterwards, but try to stick with a set of keybindings you become familiar and comfortable with. During so will speed up your progress without you having to try and re-remember what key does what.

Whether you lose or win, being a terrorist or a counter-terrorist ends up being an entertaining prospect for you to look forward to. Despite having a learning curve, CS:GO is a game you won't want to put down once you begin and sooner or later you'll be a great teammate to depend. Just make sure to have your voice chat at a reasonable volume so the MEMEing and screaming doesn't hurt as much
