Glasses are a great item for game characters because it gives off a unique nerdy characteristic. Learning how to model this can be important for your character in the future. To start off you want to make sure you make the base of the lens.
First make a basic outline of the lens with the rectangle spline. This will then be converted to an editable poly. This can be edited to your liking. You now want to make sure the spline selection is active while in the editing tab. This will give you options such as the Outline setting. Click this and make the outline -5 or something similar. Finally, extrude the outline so that it will be able to hold the lens. Once you created the first part of the lens, click the polygon selection and extrude by 5 or the opposite of your outline.
You will now make a connection point for your glasses. Find the area of the glasses you will want to connect the glasses from. This will be around the seen border of the lens holder.Extrude a polygon around that area to make a connection point for your glasses. You can chamfer or move the connector .
The grip of the glasses will now be the last part of the glasses you should shape. You should use the line spline, make a short connector on the outside of the glasses and continue to make another line that extends from the glasses. You can make a third line that will be the curved section of the grip. This holds on to the ears. Move into another perspective and move this vertex done while in editable spline so it points down. Now make a rectangle and loft it with this line so you form a more solid foundation for the glasses. Now attach this to the glasses. To speed up the process, add a mirror modifier, set it to copy, and edit the threshold until the other half of the glasses looks good in place. You have now finished your pair of glasses
